Metric is still new to me, but I really like this song (off their fourth album "Fantasies" which was just released in April 2009). I like the lyrics though they are simple. I like the imagery of the "heart beating like a hammer". I think about it a lot when I am drumming. The constant beat of the heart is like a song that will only end when we die. Also there is that hint of fear or weakness in the lyrics, such that we would need help just we are alive.

Help, I'm alive, my heart keeps beating like a hammer.
