I had to scrap that post though. I should've known Dio's songs were showing up not because of a hot new album by Ronnie James Dio, or because metal hair was coming back in style (I'm growing mine now), but because Ronnie James Dio had passed on this past week. Good musician, terrible video, lol. I think he'd watched The Highlander too many times before doing this video. But it was 1983, and for some reason a lot of videos were like this. Good times…..
I have to forgive the video. It was still early on in the music video era, MTV being only 2 years old at that point. And metal has that cheese factor (or at least in retrospect it did in the 80s). It is fun, though a bit silly by today's standards. Such is art!

Highlander! Totally! I need to watch those again! The music video was a new thing then. Today you could only get away with it if you made it clear in the video that you did it that way on purpose.
