Night Surgeon – "Roman Error" (2011)
2011/02/15I count myself as lucky! I've been enjoying the new album by "Night Surgeon" for the past few weeks even though it is only just officially released today! (…all thanks to a pre-release copy from the Night Surgeon themselves!)
Usually with such debut albums, there is one song worth beans, and the rest is of lesser interest and appeal, however there are no fewer than four songs that I have had stuck in my head the past few weeks, "Roman Error" being my favorite!
A blend of synthpop and darkwave, it is right up my 80's roots brain's way. I compared them previously to a blend of Depeche Mode, Wolfsheim and Cut Copy, and I stick by that assessment. Hot off the presses, and definitely worth a listen!
