This song, "American Girls" is off their 4th album, Hard Candy. I kind of stopped listening to them after their first album, "August and Everything After", because the radio at the time (1993) played "Mr. Jones" and "Round Here" so much I just didn't want to hear them anymore. G's been breaking me of that, starting with repeated plays of this song in particular. It is a good song. There is no denying it. A coworker was selling his Counting Crows CD collection so I took them all at a reasonable price. It is way past time for me to give them another chance, so today I am putting it all on shuffle and repeat!
