Dr. Seuss – "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" (1966)

2009/12/20

Oh no! I almost forgot about this one!

I am a huge Dr. Seuss fan. I have a collection of about 40 of his books and he definitely influenced my way of thinking at a young aga. "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" is certainly no exception! Although I do not subscribe to all of the intensely religious aspects of Christmas, I do feel Christmas is a time to meet up with old friends, visit family, share time together. The presents, decorations, Christmas songs (eh hem) are nice and all, but it is all secondary. It is truly the thought that counts and the coming together of those you love that you do not get to see as much as you would like that really counts.

Now I have to go find my DVD of it and watch it now!

PS: Although Boris Karloff narrated the TV Special this song is from, he was no singer. Thurl Ravenscroft, who was also the voice for Tony the Tiger in the Frosted Flakes commercials, is the singer.
