Whoa! Slow down 2010! The first day of the year blew past so fast. It was decadent though. I ate too much and sat around playing the new Super Mario Bros. Wii (yes, I may be addicted and need therapy), as well as some "Star Trek: The Next Generation". A complete day of frivolity, and thus a perfect way to start the new year I think! A day of relaxation and yet excitement, not unlike the tone of LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends".
I worked way to hard in the 2000s. It drove me crazy. If I have a resolution for the new year it is to enjoy my time a little more and focus more on the things I care about. My career has been "on hold" thanks to the recession and downsizing. Working my ass off has had zero impact on anything other than me.
By the way, props to "treeswingers.wordpress.com" who tipped me off to this song. I came across their post and couldn't help but push play over and over.
