Lindsey Ray – "Goodbye From California" (2009)

Life is good, and although this song is about a break up of sorts, it is just so happy and bouncy in tone I count it as a feel good song!

Plus my site has been getting slower and slower for months. It was finally so bad I took the time to investigate and found it had to be a hardware issue. I contacted my hosting company, informed them that the shared database server was having performance issues. They insisted it must be my own connection, but when I provided all my evidence, who was right? That's right. Me. I've been a software engineer for quite a while now, so after telling my hosting company how to do their job I am feeling cocky now! And they fixed it so TSotD.com is back it its speedy self!

Tim Myers (ft. Lindsey Ray) – "Brand New Day" (2008)

This song is too good. You may know it from several Target commercials. It is so happy in an almost 70s-ish pop + folk kind of way, and so catchy too, it is hard not to love. It actually made me want to see more Target commercials (congratulations to Target for having musical taste). If the commercialized music and advertising industries are going to pump out songs like this, then I say "Please, sir, I want some more."

PS: The song appears to only be available for purchase through iTunes. I hate iTunes so I don't suggest it unless you absolutely need the song because you're a music freak like me. (Boo to songs only being available on iTunes! Boo I say!) You'll just have to come back to this blog post and listen to it every time you want to hear it!

PPS: I really like Lindsey Ray's voice, both in this song, and her one song being sold on Amazon, "Goodbye from California". I just bought that MP3 actually. That "1-Click" buy and download feature is dangerous!
