I was listing to "The Dark Side of the Moon" the other day and I still think "Money" is the best one on that album, and possibly my favorite from them entirely. I may be incredibly biased towards this album and that song though because I seem to recall my siblings listening to it over and over. As I learned in my music theory classes, repetition and familiarity is a contributing factor to music appreciation. I think it has helped me to appreciate a broad spectrum of music because I generally let whomever I am with be the one controlling what music is being played. (It is another reason I think a lot of people get stuck listening to one genre or one time period of music.)

In today's song of the day, I love the kind of easy going, yet driving & pressing beat. I also love the commentary on our greedy money driven society in this song. Clearly we have not learned any lessons and should listen to more Pink Floyd… or more to Pink Floyd… or both.
