Apparently I am still in a Hip Hop mood this morning. I always thought P.M. Dawn was so clever because he seems to be in the gray area between spoken word and singing. He is like barely rapping and barely singing most of the time. Unlike a lot of newer hip hop, his back music is almost enough to stand on its own too. It is thick, and I like a nice thick song with a gazillion instruments, singers, etc. No wonder I'm a fan of "mashups".
Bit of trivial for you, P.M. Dawn was formed by Attrell Cordes and Jarrett Cordes, and were raised by their mom and George Brown of "Kool & the Gang". ("Jungle Boogie" anyone?
