I awoke to a blanket of snow this morning. A nice thick coat. Now you have to understand, I love snow. Always have. Naturally as a lover of snow, I prefer my holidays coated with snow. Despite a slight cold or flu or whatever thing is trying to kill me today, I insisted today would be a good day for G and I to walk into town and pick out our Christmas tree. We like a fresh, farmed, real Christmas tree. We also like that we can walk through the snow into town and walk it home, in old fashioned style. G carrying one end, while I carry the other.

Until today the desire for the holidays and spirit of Christmas had eluded me, but now I feel a bit more excitement and anticipation! Thank you snow! In light of this I am probably going to start picking out Christmas (or holiday) songs for the next couple weeks. To start, here is a song G picked out as the first track of her own "Christmas Mix" that she then gave to almost everyone it seemed, and as a result is fixed in my mind as the opening bell of Christmas, The Andrews Sisters singing "Winter Wonderland". A classic!
