The past day has been full of shit. Figuratively and seriously. A backed up sewer pipe has left G and I a basement floor coated with interesting smells and even some artifacts that appear to be toilet paper. At least it is mostly dry now and the brown liquid puddles are just stains now. Grossed out yet? I guess it could be worse. It could've happened a week from today. But other things just did not go well for me today either… like trying to run to the grocery store only to find out they closed 5 minutes before I got there. Or trying to help my brother get his computer he ordered from Dell Computers on Black Friday to arrive before Christmas, and only being put into endless phone trees and then put on hold for 10 minutes at a time while customer service reps passed me around until I gave up. I even had problems writing this post as my space bar started to act like a back button.
I cannot help but feel like Charlie Brown when everything is just not going my way. I just can't kick that damn football. Perhaps you recognize this song from "A Charlie Brown Christmas"? Hopefully my story will have a happy-ish ending too. I won't hold my breath… except perhaps while in the basement.
